This college instructor felt like his students were always looking at his ears and maybe he was right. I was able to reshape the rim of his ears using a technique usually used for removing skin cancers from the ears. He no longer gives his ears a second thought and neither do his students.

This young lady had gauged earlobes. She removed her gauges and her earlobes shrunk considerably. I was able to repair her large fenestration. I told her she can get her lobes pierced again but no gauges!

This 42 year old Seattle sound engineer suffered a laceration to his left ear several years ago. The resultant scar on his ear developed into a “keloid” which is a scar gone wild that becomes thick and rubbery and overgrows the boundary of the initial scar. These can be very difficult to treat and have a high incidence of recurrence after surgical incision. I excised his keloid almost two years ago. In addition to careful excision and closure, I treated him with a pressure earring for about 6 months and injected the area with tiny doses of steroids several times. He remains keloid free.

This 50 year old graphic designer was a fashion victim in the 70’s. Those big hoop earrings stretched out her formerly cute little earlobes. I reduced her lobes under a local anesthetic. She said is wasn’t half as painful as her last trip to the dentist. I’ll re-pierce her ears in the near future.
