Prevelle Silk It seems like every time I turn around, there’s a new filler on the market. I think most of the hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers are pretty much the same, that is to say they are all wonderful products that allow me to fill in wrinkles and depressions with precision and predictable results. I’ve had many patients have improvement last for up to two years even though these products are only allowed to claim they last at least 6 months. Recently a new filler, Prevelle Silk, has come out. This filler is thinner and softer than the other fillers I have used. It is terrific for lips and lip lines. Also, it doesn’t seem to hurt as much when injected and bruising and swelling is very uncommon. It doesn’t last as long as the other fillers but it also is about half the cost. It’s a nice “starter filler” for patients who are a little hesitant to have the longer lasting fillers and it’s also nice for patients who want injection on Friday and are going out Saturday night. |
