Our Office Operating Room When you walk into our waiting room, you may think you’ve walked into a spa. But lurking behind the door marked “Authorized Personnel Only” is our operating room, which is certified by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities (AAAASF). This is the only accrediting body that not only sets standards for equipment, supplies and staffing, it also sets standards for the physicians using the facility. They must be board certified by a surgical board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties such as the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and have hospital operating privileges for the same procedures performed in the office operating room. To maintain our certification we undergo a peer review every six months and an in depth, walk through inspection every 2 years. We also participate in Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement at our monthly staff meetings. Our operating room is staffed with Board Certified Anesthesiologists who specialize in outpatient anesthesia.
