Medial Thigh Lift

The medial thigh can be a problem area for many women and occasionally some men. This area tends to collect excess fat and the skin tone is often poor which makes liposuction risky. Aging and weight loss can result in sagging of the skin.

Medial thigh lift is a procedure in which a wedge of skin and fat is removed and the medial thigh is tightened. The resultant scar is located at the junction of the thigh and pubic area and is well hidden.

I perform this procedure at Seattle Surgery Center, which is located next door to my office building under a general anesthetic. Most patients go home the day of surgery although a few will elect to spend the night at the surgery center. Patients need to wear a supportive girdle for 3 weeks after surgery. Most patients are back to all normal activities in 4 to 6 weeks after surgery. The benefit of medial thigh lift is long lasting unless the patient has major weight fluctuations postoperatively.

Insurance does not pay for this procedure.
